Vision House offers meaningful volunteer opportunities to the community

Current Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at Vision House through the promotion of our core values of: Christ-centered integrity, helping and service, achievement, respect, and teamwork. The Vision House volunteer program also promotes relationships in the community that generate additional support and public awareness of Vision House!

We are currently seeking volunteers to serve as Class Mentors with residents (sit alongside them in class and assist with group discussion questions or hands-on activities) and volunteers to be Child Mentors (give quality attention to children while their parents are in class) during the following classes for our resident families:

  • Education Sustainability Class (Shoreline) on Thursday evenings – begins September 14
  • Financial Literacy Class (Renton) on Thursday evenings – begins October 12

We do have additional opportunities for volunteering in other areas such as:

  •     Provide snack for one of our educational classes
  •     Homework help & tutoring
  •     Facility Maintenance
  •     Help clean & prepare empty units for an incoming family
  •     Yardwork
  •     Join the Cleanout Team –(packing & removing donated items following estate sales)
  •     Accounting & Office support
  •     Fundraising & Table Captains for special events

    We also offer a Development Internship in Renton. As well as a Family Program Entry Coordinator Internship and a general Family Program Internship in both Renton and Shoreline.
