Since 1990 Vision House has provided transitional housing with
integrated support services to homeless single mothers and their
children and separately to homeless single men recovering from drug and
alcohol addiction.
Our success is achieved by addressing the root social and economic
problems that many homeless people have to overcome in order to break
free from the cycle of homelessness.
Look Who's helping:
RedWeek.com makes contribution
to help homeless families.
Current
economics in the Puget Sound Region are taking a toll. The homeless
population grew 23% in King County last year alone and has grown over
70% since 1998. Families giving last year are homeless this year.
Domestic violence and lost job-related income are the leading causes of
homelessness for women and children.
Support your community and get involved. There
are moms and children who need you to help. You can change lives and
help break the cycle of homelessness for families in King County.
You can stuff envelopes from home or host a fundraising event. Be a
Vision House Ambassador in your church or provide on-site lunches to
construction volunteers. Purchase a bag of groceries for a homeless
family or provide shelter and services for a family for a week.
TO SAVE A CHILD My name
is Brittney and my story is really about God saving a child by leading
me to Vision House. When I look back, there are just so many instances
when you can see Him at work in my life.
