Employment Opportunities at Vision House and Children’s Village Child Care Center (a Vision House program)
Vision House is a faith-based non-profit whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and homeless to promote positive transformation of their lives. We provide homelessness prevention and temporary housing with supportive services to homeless children and their families in Renton and Shoreline, Washington. We also own and operate the Children’s Village Child Care Center. Motivated by our faith in Jesus, we serve homeless men, women and children as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.
Foundational to our work is the commitment to a shared faith by our staff, board of directors, volunteers and interns, and a common understanding of how that faith is lived out day-to-day. As our faith is at the heart of all we do, applicants are asked to commit to uphold our STATEMENT OF FAITH, Mission Statement (above) and Core Values. Our organization’s core values and mode of operations are based on a servant leadership model. While we are an equal opportunity employer, Christian faith is a prerequisite for employment at Vision House, based upon United States federal guidelines provided in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
NOTE: Although Vision House was founded on Christian principles and beliefs, spiritual activities are optional for residents. Vision House does not discriminate against housing applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, familial status, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability.
